Law Offices of Alexis Saab

Alex Saab graduated from U.C. Irvine and earned a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from Loyola Law School.  During law school, Alex clerked with the United States Attorney’s Office, the U.S. Department of Justice, and the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office.

 

He is proud to serve on many community organizations dedicated to making Downey and the surrounding areas a better place for everyone.  He served as President-Elect of the Downey Chamber of Commerce and Vice President of the Southeast District Bar Association.  

 

As a member of the Legislative Committee and former Chairperson of the City Affairs Committee of the Downey Chamber of Commerce, he has worked closely with the Downey business community over the years.  In 2010, his law practice was recognized as Downey’s Small Business of the Year. 

 

He is an active member of the Downey Association of Realtors.

 

Alex opened his law practice in 2004 and has received numerous recognitions from members of the U.S. Congress, County of Los Angeles, City of Downey, City of Santa Fe Springs and other local government entities for his extensive volunteer and community service.  He was recognized as a 2010 Outstanding Community Volunteer by the Downey Coordinating Council.  He regularly volunteers with numerous organizations to provide free legal consultation for senior citizens.  

 

Alex is the former President of the Downey Los Amigos Kiwanis Club, which assists the children through service, fundraising and scholarships and currently serves on its Board of Directors.  He also serves on the TLC Board of advisers, which serves underprivileged children in Downey Unified School District. He also served on the St. John Bosco High School Board of Directors.

 

Alex Saab was Mayor of the City of Downey in 2015-2016.  He served as Chairperson of the Southeast Water Area Coalition (SEWAC) representing the citizens of Downey in regional water issues and on various committees including the Columbia Memorial Space Center, the Finance/Budget Committee, Gangs out of Downey (GOOD), the Downey Police and Fire Foundation, and the Downey Theatre Subcommittee among others.  He served on the Downtown subcommittee and the branding committee. Alex was instrumental in Downey’s participation in the 2015 World Special Olympics.
